I am rebuilding the relationship I have with myself

Yes, I do the work too!

Getting COVID last month taught me that the relationship we have with ourselves is vital to our well-being.

Whilst I am feeling recovered, I am rebuilding the relationship I have with myself.

This has to be in balance, or we can find ourselves grasping.

Grasping for something outside of ourselves.

As you can probably tell, this work is as applicable to me as it is to you.

On the first weekend of September (Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th), we will explore the Relationship Needs Blueprint together, in person, in London.

An intimate, in-person weekend for anyone wanting choice, transparency and dialogue around relationships.

I would love you to join us.

I will be there to connect with each of you and myself. Every time I do this work, I learn something new.

Expect a maximum of 12 people in a spacious home setting, having fun, digging into what really matters with heart, soul, pens, paper, creativity, sharing circles, and more.

During this weekend, I hope you will come away with:

• More awareness of the types of relationships available and the impact societal expectations have on so many of us

• A sense of the aspects of relationships that are important for you to feel nourished, secure and balanced

• A framework for having conversations with those you are or want to be in a relationship with

• Ideas and techniques to get the kind of relationships you want

Introducing the sacred ones

When craft meets spirit

I notice a feeling similar to other times I have revealed something meaningful. There is a ‘coming out’ quality - a potential fear of being mocked or worse.

Luckily, I am more unapologetic than I used to be.

What I am about to share is badass witchery, and I am proud of myself and all the others who delve into the ways of the past.

With a needle and wool, I create medicine bundles containing foraged plants, flowers and herbs. Some have hair, trinkets and crystals in them too. Anything that wants to participate goes in, and from there, the most incredible beings emerge.

It all starts with a medicine bundle.

I have been making spirit dolls and beings through needle felting since October last year under the guidance of Julia Inglis. This craft remembers me, and I remember it. Using my body as an instrument for what needs to come through.

They were made for personal learnings, connecting with my ancestors, healing trauma and remembering. They have recently become universal, less personal, and I can own that this is my craft.

Meet the counsel!

I gathered the beings for a group photo! This was in May.

At this point, I’d made three for people I knew, gifting them and delivering the words and messages received through the process. Each time the messages were profoundly significant to the recipient.

There is something tender for me seeing this photo, as several of these are living elsewhere now. Something shifted in these last few weeks, and precious pieces I’d made and worked with became destined for others. The knowing rising from within that it was time to pass this being on. The lesson was integrated, and the other was the new beneficiary.

I sense that these beings are for people to connect with a part of themselves that calls out to be seen, heard, loved, and integrated.

Becoming an Elder

I’ve acknowledged the knowing and set the intention for my personal passage to Elder.

With pen, feet, wool, nature and needle.

A journey lasting many years of deliberate digging into "Women who run with the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estés and other myths and stories. Making marks in the book, dancing, dreaming and allowing the beings to emerge.

I envision teaching others to needle felt through gatherings, working with symbols and archetypes.

Making beings for others to assist through transitions with intention, breath, herbs, crystals and more has come to the forefront. It has naturally started happening, and I have to begin honouring the time, cost of materials and exchange ongoing.

Whilst balancing the need to pay my bills, I've tried a couple of funding applications, and so far, they have been unsuccessful due to the high demand for funding, plus they take up a lot of valuable writing time.

Two books are writing themselves in my head:

1.    Tales of non-conformity ~ a manifesto for being unapologetically you

2.    Discover your Relational Needs Blueprint

They are woven together, and they are itching to get out and in front of people.

I wrote and delivered a 5-week enquiry on the Relational Needs Blueprint in May 2021. There were 24 of us, and the feedback was beyond my expectations.

There is so much to birth in this work, plus I am embracing an emerging identity.

The fast-approaching menopause, an escape from the city plus half a century of breathing on the earth, has cut through the nonsense.

By claiming these three words, I can write anything that wants to emerge.

I believe that is where the magic is.

The allowing of what is bubbling from within.
